Today, for the fifth consecutive year, we are thrilled to launch our 2020 Good Governance for All Awards. The award recognizes an admired not-for-profit by providing them with free Aprio board portal software for three years.
Anyone who’s worked at a not-for-profit, or served on a charity’s board, has witnessed that organizations with the highest aims for impact often face the biggest hurdles with board engagement, as well as the most limited budgets for technology. This is especially true this year, with the COVID-19 outbreak causing additional hardships for the most needed organizations around the world.
Customers of Aprio, CUES members, and Aprio staff are invited to nominate a Canadian or US-based not-for-profit organization to be considered for the award. Tell us who would benefit from free board portal software to efficiently run board meetings, keep directors up to date, and keep information secure, and they could win!
Have an organization in mind? Nominate a charity before May 31st, 2020.
Previous awards have gone to ACCESS Community Capital Fund, an organization that provides microloans to new Canadians, InspireHealth, the Canadian Mental Health Association Saskatchewan Division, and Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
Not-for-profit staff might work hard to inform directors with paper binders and flurries of emails, but often find directors come to meetings under-prepared or ask for information to be emailed over and over as things get lost. The organization keeps hoping for well-informed decisions at meetings, and the volunteer directors keep hoping things will get more efficient. Both groups can become frustrated.
Aprio was founded on the belief that organizations of any size, both for profit and charities, deserve a quality information system to make good governance simple and affordable. The aim of our Good Governance for All Award is to help not-for-profit organizations achieve their ultimate ambitions by making good governance simpler. Along the way, we hope to enhance the lives of directors who dedicate their time to charitable board work.
Help us make good governance affordable and simple for all not-for-profit organizations across North America. Nominate a charity today.
In these unprecedented times, it’s not just charities who find themselves in need of good governance, and we’re here to help more organizations experience efficient board meetings and streamlined, secure board communication.
If you know of an organization that could use Aprio, but that is ineligible for our Good Governance for All Award, let us know. We’re offering special discounts, such as no software fees for the next few months for new Aprio customers during these challenging times.
We wish you all the best of health during these challenging times, and look forward to seeing your nominations for this years’ Good Governance for All Award.
