Congratulations Canuck Place! Aprio’s Good Governance for All Award recognizes a deserving not-for-profit with free board portal software to help their organization better engage their board directors and more simply and securely run their board meetings.
Canuck Place is one of 6 free standing pediatric hospices in Canada, with a 16-member board.
Organization Impact
Canuck Place provides medical care and support for 670 children with life threatening illnesses and their families at their most vulnerable times; delivers care 24/7, end of life care and bereavement support.
Governance Needs
The volunteer Board meets in person or by dialing in from various locations in BC. Meetings are complex to manage, given the financial, quality of care, and risk management requirements.
Potential Benefits
Aprio would provide easier and more consistent access to Board materials, tracking progress. With 16 Board members and 6 committees, Canuck Place has the familiar complexity of running a not-for-profit.
