Easy board decision making: how to use online board voting in Aprio

With more boards continuing to meet virtually, essential functions like decision-making, voting and discussion need to take place within a secure online environment.

How to use online board voting in Aprio

Voting or adding signatures in Aprio is simple and only takes a few clicks. To add a vote and/or signature option in Aprio, all an administrator has to do is:

1. Open the document that you’d like to add a vote and/or signature option to
2. Click the “Signatures” icon to the right of the document
3. Click either “Add Contact” or “Add Group”, select the applicable group or contacts from the drop-down menu, then click “Add”
4. Click “Email” to notify your chosen group or contacts. The email will be sent from the Aprio system. 

Once the email requesting a vote and/or signature is received, the director can click on the link within the email to be taken to the document in the browser or the Aprio app. Directors can sign and/or vote in four quick steps by:

1. Clicking or tapping the “Sign” button beside their name
2. Choosing to vote for, against, or abstain 
3. Entering their password for confirmation 
4. Clicking “Sign” in the browser or tapping “Update” in the app

Note: if your organization requires signature evidence, directors can also attach their signature document by selecting “Click here to attach a file”, then clicking or tapping “Sign”.

It’s as simple as that! You can use this useful Aprio feature both between and during board meetings to ensure that decisions are made quickly and easily, even when in-person voting isn’t possible.
