VANCOUVER – December 18, 2018 – Aprio Inc, Canada’s most trusted provider of board portal software, announced today that InspireHealth, a supportive cancer care organization in BC which serves over 4,000 patients every year, has been awarded the Aprio Good Governance for All Award for 2018.
Aprio launched the annual Good Governance for All Award in 2016 to recognize a deserving not-for-profit with board portal software to help the organization better engage their board directors and more simply and securely run their board meetings. The winner of the Good Governance for All Award earns Aprio software for three years, for free.
“Having used Aprio in three different organizations, I know first hand the difference it can make in helping an organization be their best,” said Faye Wightman, Interim Executive Director at InspireHealth. “InspireHealth is excited about having board portal technology to help simplify our meetings and free our time and energy to focus on strategic board priorities and fulfilling our mission.”
Nearly one in two Canadians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. InspireHealth provides free supportive cancer care services to people living with a diagnosis of cancer, working together with patients, their family doctor and oncologists. InspireHealth Clinical Services are provided by a team of physicians, dietitians, nutritionists, clinical counsellors and exercise therapists and include providing guidance on healthful diet changes, stress reduction and emotional counseling, decision making, exercise, and personal coaching. InspireHealth has sites in Vancouver, Victoria and Kelowna.
“For 15 years, Aprio’s mission has been to make good governance simple and affordable for every organization,” said Ian Warner. “InspireHealth is an extraordinary example of a not-for-profit with a highly motivated and capable board of directors that’s seeking to work with utmost efficiency and strategic focus. We are thrilled that our technology can streamline the boards’ efforts and support InspireHealth in achieving its goals.”
In 2018, Good Governance for All nominations were invited from both Canadian and US not-for-profit organizations and the winner was chosen earlier this month. Past winners were Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), and Saskatchewan Division and Canuck Place pediatric hospice.
